 Chris Tessaro has been a writer and editor for several well known magazines and publications. He has been covering and writing about poker since 2003, including writing his own column for American Poker Player magazine. He has been playing poker since he was 12 years old, and has played across North American, and even in the middle of the Caribbean Ocean. He makes his home just outside Toronto, with a full sized texas hold 'em poker table in his basement that's always open for action. He is the father of a three year old who, despite urban legend, is NOT named 'Full Tilt' as the result of a prop bet gone wrong. Chris is not just a radio face. He is well known for his weekly appearances on national tv on several different programs

Anytime someone asks me the question "how long have you been into poker?" I get the same vision in my head - me as a little kid at family dinners watching my parents, aunts and uncles playing poker after the dishes had been cleared. The pots were usually pretty small, but they sure looked HUGE to a kid my age. I used to beg them to play, i was sure I could take some of those pots, but they kept saying "when you get older Robert". I couldn't wait for this "older" era to kick in!
When I did finally hit the age of older, I really did fall in love with the game. I read everything poker-wise that I could get my hands on, watched Rounders about 50 thousand times and played (and hosted) games whenever I could.
The opportunity came to work with Chris and I jumped at it. I have been working in the Toronto media for about 6 years reporting and producing every sport and sports related thing you could think of (I've reported at so many Jays and Raptor's games I've lost count) but this is the first chance I've had to mix my love of broadcasting with my love of poker. Seems like a good combo to me!
